The Essentials To Your Brand

Last week I covered your first steps to starting your brand and as promised, this week I'll cover the three most important essentials to your brand.

Lets start with number 1: Social Media:

This includes, but is not limited to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and 'X' (formerly known as, Twitter). Social media creates your brand, bridges the gap between you & your fans, and most importantly, makes you seem 'accessible' and 'relatable'. While building your social media is tedious, it is important to remember that building your social media take strategic planning, consistency, and patience.

  • Use your analytics and engagement statistics to your advantage.

  • Stay consistent.

  • Cross promote your socials on different platforms for maximum engagement.

  • Collab with different creators as this will introduce you to new followers/fans.

  • Post at optimal times (when does your account have the most traffic?).

  • Don't be afraid to engage with your followers.

  • Post attention grabbing content.

  • Go viral by posting unique content (hardest, but fastest way to build your socials).

Number 2: Promotions

Promotions expands and advertises your brand (reach) to a wider audience - aka, bring more traffic. Promotions are a major part in the success of building your brand awareness and recognition within such a competitive market. There are many aspects to promotions such as:

  • Press / Publicity - Press can be the hardest aspect of brand promotion to achieve, but also THE best thing to happen to your brand.

  • Marketing - Continuously marketing your brand is essential to keeping your brand alive.

  • Collabs - One of the easiest and most cost effective practices to promote your brand are cross promotions.

I will go more into detail and break these specific categories up in a later blog, however you can also join my FREE creator's workshop on October 21st at 2pm PST / 5pm EST for more information.

Number 3: Subscription Platforms :

A common misconception amongst creators is that they need to stick to a single site in order to effectively monetize their brand. However, this is simply not true. The more options you have to offer fans, the more money you (as a brand) can make. Make each platform offer something unique and different to entice your following to want to join them all, but also realize that some people will be loyal to certain platforms and only want to participate in those. You could be missing out on a LOT of potential earnings by keeping yourself exclusive to only one site.
